As Link peered down into the valley a slow, ominous fog, that carried with it the promise of peril, crept across its floor. Link's quest compelled him to cross the valley. A creeping fear swept over him, he shivered though the heat was making him sweat. Steeling his emotions he turned his horse towards whatever peril lay in wait.

LLink descended into the valley and dismounted. His horse, Epona bustled and refused to enter the fog. He set her free and turned towards his fate.

The fading sunlight tried its best to slice through the thick veil before him, yet only managed to light a small window of haze in the unknown. As Link drew his sword he felt his courage bolster, he stepped into the dampness of the fog. The monster leapt forward and attacked but our Hero was ready.

Finally, after a month of pursuing the Black Bandit across the deserted plains, suffering through dehydration, hunger, and the loss of 2 good horses, Marshal O'Hanlon caught up with his foe.

The bandit had no intention of coming in quietly though. Cornering him at the edge of town O'Hanlon drew his pistol - he was fast but the Black Bandit had terrorised towns for over a year, as he too was fast and had the advantage of a ruthless, murderous soul. He didn't wait for O'Hanlon's warning.

Two shots rang out at the same time. One man fell. The other rode out of town.
